About the studio
A compact recording studio in Amsterdam-West: live room, vocal booths and control under one roof, with the same engineers since 2018.
Why this layout
We built Meresmensignal for artists who want to play together and for voices that need quiet. The live room fits a band or drums-and-bass; booths are isolated from the floor for singing, rap and voice-over. In control you hear what is being recorded, not only what bleeds on the floor.
Every session is led by someone from our team. Robin Jansen handles scheduling and production; recording and mixing stay in-house — no unknown freelancers on the day.
The rooms
Live room (48 m²)
Band, ensemble or rhythm section with patch to 32 lines. Up to 6 players at once with individual headphone mixes.
Iso booths (2)
Lead, doubles and ad-libs with engineer behind glass; monitoring is tuned per artist.
Control
Hybrid desk, nearfield monitors and space for attended mixes. Sight lines to the live floor and booth door.
Services in one place
Recording: vocals, live room and podcast. Post: mixing and mastering. Rates and units are on services; each line has a detail page with inclusions and FAQ.

Getting here
Haarlemmerweg 84, 1014 BE Amsterdam. The studio is on Haarlemmerweg in Haarlemmerbuurt, about a ten-minute walk from Amsterdam Central Station. GVB bus 18 and bus 21 stop at Haarlemmerweg (Haarlemmerweg stop); from there it is roughly a three-minute walk. Bicycles can be parked at the facade; cars use paid parking at Haarlemmer Houttuinen or Q-Park De Looiers, about an eight-minute walk. Hours: Tuesday to Friday 10:00–21:00, Saturday 11:00–17:00. - Revisions agreedMix jobs include 2 revision rounds unless we put something else in writing.
- Archive with an end dateWe keep session files for 18 months; then we delete our copy and yours remains the source.
